I’m sharing
this with you from my heart. I pray it
answers my cry, “Come here children of God, here is the standard, come up
here,” for scribes of the Most High God!
I preface this by saying please don’t reply with things like no one is
perfect and this is legalism and perfectionism.
This is not the heart of this article.
The heart of this article is elevation of what we will tolerate from
others and ourselves and present to God as a work we call His. It’s about producing “gold” works that when
tried by fire will be acceptable to God and won’t burn up as hay, wood, or
stubble. It’s about leaning and yielding entirely upon Him to work excellence
and perfection by His spirit not by our power or might. He can do it.
It’s also about the power “putting in writing” a spiritual stance of
non-tolerance for the spirit of error.
Lord, I pray
for each and every scribe who reads this article. I pray for the eyes of their understanding to
be enlightened and for them to read this with eyes of the spirit not of the flesh. I pray for each and every scribal ministry to
come into the fullness of the reality of Psalm 138:8 and Phil 1:6. For truly you are perfecting us, if we allow
ourselves and the ministries you’ve bestowed to us to be perfected. It is the good work you are doing in us when
matured, aged, and perfected that brings you glory and brings others the
deliverance they so desperately need from the tip of our divine pen. Lord, I pray we serve ripe, wine. For it brings you no glory to serve wine
before its time. When the spirit of
error prevails, we serve the wine before time, and the efficacy of the fullness
of Your will is minimized. I thank you
for the authority to cast out the spirit of error from our scribal
ministries. We will glorify you, and we
affirm you will get all the glory from the work of our hands. I thank you that all spirits of retaliation,
backlash, DIM (domination, intimidation, and manipulation) are bound
forever. I thank you for James 4:7-8
being released even now.
CASTING OUT THE SPIRIT
OF ERROR
I
don’t know about you scribes, but every since God called me into this scribal
ministry I’ve been coming up strongly against the spirit of error. As scribes we know accuracy has been divinely
made a part of us. Several years ago, it
used to bother me that I had to have the things the LORD was giving me to via
writing be 100% accurate. I’ve been
called Patty Perfect, mocked, and flat out ignored. Now, the sadly funny thing about this is that
these things came to me as a “paying client” of the services I partnered with
others Christians to help us with.
I
began to cry out to God and He told me, “Karen you can’t catch all the
typographical and grammatical errors, but I can. You have to stop proofing naturally and begin
proofing supernaturally.” I tell you
this radically changed me! I now ask
Holy Spirit to proof through me before I sit down to proof anything He’s caused
me to write in this scribal ministry. He
told my husband something very similar to this relative to the worship ministry
He’s given Him. My husband would take a
song the Holy Spirit gave Him and pray, consecrate, and sing the song in Holy
Spirit’s presence. He did this
consistently. One day, as was His
custom, He began to go through this process, and Holy Spirit said, “I know you
want to hit that note. You can’t but I
can. Let me take you there.” He allowed Him to and now He his range is
impeccable. So this revelation if
grabbed hold to is power-packed! It is a
true demonstration of us doing all things through Christ who infuses us with
strength and divine ability.
This
revelation also let me know that those I’d partnered with were in their “flesh”
trying to proof a work of the spirit.
They never prayed prior to proofing, and they relied solely upon them,
their eyes, and what they “could catch/see” when it came to generating
error-free work. Naturally, they failed
every time and then justified their unwillingness to their lean their entire
self on the Holy Spirit. They called me
holier than thou, and because they weren’t walking or willing to walk in this
revelation, I became the problem. So, I
continued to pray. The Lord them gave me
an assignment to write a book exposing the way this spirit of error operates in
the field of virtual assistants with Christian coaches. The assignment is in the works right now.
Well,
as I’ve been writing and noticing by the spirit of God, I’m seeing this spirit
showing up everywhere, not just in ministry, but in day-to-day business. Yesterday, I had reached my limit and I began
to cry out to God and out of my spirit came, “I hate you spirit of error and I
cast you out of my midst, ministry, family, and business endeavors.” At that moment, I discerned a shift in what
God has been showing me. A divine
knowing came over me that as scribes we have the authority to cast out the
spirit of error (including oversights, mistakes, typos, whatever you or others
want to call it) out of everything God has given us to be stewards over.
We
don’t have to accept the lame, “I’m sorry’s” that come each and every time we
confront the spirit of error. As a
matter of fact, right after my aforementioned “crying out to the Lord
experience,” I had a phone conversation with a person on a project that the
spirit of error has been showing up in big time. On the call, the person said, I’m sorry for
____________________ (left blank for the error they had made), and I said, (in
my usually nice, kind posture) “that’s okay.”
Immediately, the spirit of the Lord rebuked me, and said, “It’s not
okay.” In turn, I said to them, “You
know it’s really not okay. It’s actually
unacceptable.” What makes us think God
accepts our lame tried and true excuses, slackness, and lack of reliance on the
Holy Spirit in our businesses and ministries?
Are we in a Christ-like business, ministry or not? If so, where is His standard? He is still in the high-standard
business. I’ve said it before as Holy
Spirit gave it to me, but it sure is worth repeating, “We want to serve a
Most-High God and live a most-low life!”
A
business or company will fire you if you continue to make too many
mistakes. It costs them money to redo
work and fix errors. If this is not good
(i.e., profitable and not meaning just money), then why do we think is it good
and acceptable to God? Truth be told, it
is not. Now is He not going to jump over
the banister of heaven (if such a thing even exists. .. bear with me here from
an analogy standpoint not a theology standpoint) and stand up for us? He could, but why would He, and why should He
have to? We are His ambassadors, feet,
eyes, and heart in the scribal ministry and businesses He’s given us. Will you stand up in the spirit of truth and
excellence and risk being slandered? I
will, have, and will continue to do so.
Over the past week in the Scribal Anointing group Prophetess Theresa
posted some excellent articles to help us peer into the exquisiteness, majesty,
and extravagant place God wants to take us as scribes. What good does it do to have sacred scrolls
that are full of the spirit of error and man-made efforts of service? The bible doesn’t have one typo or
grammatical error. Did God inspire MEN
to write it just as He is inspiring us to write for Him? So, then we too by divine inspiration can
dismiss the spirit of error from our midst never to be associated with any
aspect or project of our scribal ministry.
When I say this, I’m not just speaking of the end result of writing per
se, but in every creative wonder our God gives us. If He gives us a specific marketing strategy,
it should be completed without the spirit of error showing us as our ace boon
coon. This rings true for all He
inspires us to do.
As
I’ve been casting out this spirit on every side and every single front, I’ve
purposely been not partnering with those whose convictions are not the
same. There are some Christian
businesses I’m just not going to partner with.
I’ve released some folks from their assignments with us that they just
perceived was merely “another paid project,” and it won’t be the last time I do
so. God doesn’t need what they perceive
to be their skill and He doesn’t need mine.
Times
are tough for small-based businesses and our discernment has to be kicked up
some more to see through the Christian businesses that just “need the money and
more projects/work” at the expense of our scribal time, finances, and
excellence in ministering for our Lord and King.
Genuine
love,
